Surgery

I have been diagnosed with both a Spigelian hernia and a Umbilical hernia and will have surgery to repair them on Friday, March 7 at 7:30 am EST. Now before anyone gets really worried, please understand that I'm not in any immediate danger. As a matter of fact, my surgeon told me to go ahead and go skiing this weekend. They do have to be repaired though and I just can't see any sense in waiting any longer than necessary. My biggest concern is not the surgery, but instead the recovery period. For 2-4 weeks following the surgery, I will be unable to pick up Whitley or Anna. These precious girls are not going to understand this and I pray that God will comfort them because I won't be able to. Also, Doyl will be facing even more demands as he becomes primary caregiver to all of us. He will have help from friends at church, but once he gets home from work, he'll become Mr. Mom. We'll put updates on our webpage (http://mcmurryclan.blogspot.com) after the surgery and, of course, you can always email or call.

Thanks for your prayers.

Love, Robin

From Anna

I had a bath today and it was fun! It was the first time I felt that way and now I can't figure out what my hang up was before. Did you know if you slap the water it will splash everywhere?! Whitley came in before I was finished and I splashed her good! Mommy said something about getting to swim (whatever that means) in a pool this summer (Apparently a pool is like a large bathtub). I want to know why we have to wait?

Playdough

We finally did it. We bought Whitley Playdough! The plan is to only bring it out when Anna is asleep or happy to be in her highchair. We bought vinyl placemats to put on top of a towel in order to protect the table. She and Doyl had a blast playing together today.

Just some pics

These two girls are so fun (not to mention tiring, aggrevating, and mystifying. Here's a glimpse into their world: (What's wrong with this picture?)

Standing Girl!

It's been a busy month for Anna. In just one month, she's learned to crawl, pull-up and stand. I am scared she'll be running by Spring!
