We went to Concord Mills yesterday to do a little shopping for the girls. It is not possible to go and not ride the carousel. The girls love it! The first time we went, Anna was about 7 months old and we had to hold her on the horsey. Now, she's a pro.

Happy Birthday, Mama Dean
After we talked to my mom this evening, Whitley decided she wanted to sing "Happy Birthday" to her Mama Dean. I figured she'd be shy over the phone, so I let her practice for the camera a few times until she was confident. So, Mama, here is your present from Whitley.

Actually, that's a trick question. They are both sick. Anna is finishing up antibiotics and Whitley is just starting. I hate it when my babies are sick. I'm glad that even in the middle of feeling bad, they find ways to have fun.

Myrtle Beach
We finally made it to the beach! Last Saturday, Doyl's sister, Tammy, and our friend Lauren came for a visit. On Monday we loaded up and headed to the beach. We only spent one night, but it was fun. Anna loved the water and Whitley loved the sand. We went to the aquarium where both kids and adults had a good time. Here are just a (very) few pictures of our trip.

Fireproof
Doyl and I had the privilege of seeing a prescreening of Fireproof, a new film from Provident Films, coming in September. We highly recommend it! If you are married, you need to see this film!

Anna's sandwich
Anna loves peanut butter! Since I consider it a food staple, that is a good thing. Whitley is not a fan (unless it's in a cookie) and will not eat a peanut butter sandwich. Anna takes after me and will eat it anytime. Here she is with her first sandwich. Before, she's had bite size pieces. Today she ate like a big girl.
